We are honored to announce that Hemingway will be the keynote speaker at a fundraiser for Healing Companions, Inc. on April 8, 2013 at 5:00 pm at the Riverview Room, Ritz Carlton,Tower City, Cleveland, Ohio. Come hear her clients’ stories of how their shelter/rescue dogs trained to be PSDs have provided truly remarkable benefits to their lives.
Join actress Mariel Hemingway to hear about her search for holistic and balanced health in the face of mental illness and to hear heartwarming and powerful stories about local individuals’ transformative journeys with their psychiatric service dogs.
In 2013, actress Mariel Hemingway joined Healing Companions Inc., as an Honorary Board Member. Hemingway believes in finding many ways for people to lead physically and mentally healthy lives and seeks to be a voice for holistic and balanced well-being. As part of this work she leads wellness retreats, sharing her insights about nutrition, health, and connecting with nature, some of which are present in her new book, The WillingWay. Her new documentary, Running from Crazy, about the Hemingway family’s history of suicide and mental illness, is an exploration of her own journey to create a healthy life for herself and her children and is screening at the Cleveland International Film Festival.
